Up to $250,000 grant funding for WA regional development

The Regional Economic Development grants offer up to $250,000 competitive grant funding to successful eligible applicants, on a co-contribution basis, to support projects which directly support regional communities.

Each of WA’s nine Regional Development Commissions manage the grant round process for their region, and grant amounts and eligibility criteria may differ across the different regions.

The objectives of the RED Grants Program include:

  • Sustainable jobs

  • Expanding or diversifying industry

  • Developing skills or capabilites

  • Attracting new investment into the region

  • Increasing productivity

Eligible applicants must:

  • be a legal entity capable of entering into a legally binding and enforceable financial assistance agreement with the WA State Government

  • hold an Australian Business Number

  • have an account with an Australian financial institution or bank
