$55 million in grant funding allocated to collaborative research projects

The Medical Research Future Fund Rapid Applied Research Translation Grant will offer grants from $250,000 and up two $10 million to successful applicants.

This program aims to support research projects that encourage and facilitate academic researchers and health services providers to collaborate and improve health care delivery, services and systems sustainability. Research projects must translate medical research into health care interventions to improve health care applications.

Joint applications are encouraged, and eligible lead applicants must:

  • be incorporated in Australia and have an ABN

  • be one of the following entities:

    • a medical research institute

    • a university

    • a corporate Commonwealth entity

    • a corporation including businesses and NFP’s
